How do your activities work?
Our adventures, expeditions and activities are designed
with flexibility in mind. The routes, destinations,
and activities are adapted to take advantage of the
seasons and variations of climate conditions in Brazil.
They can also be personalized based on the frequency
and popularity of the tour. Check our monthly and annual
calendar to find out the availability of activities,
expeditions and locations served in Rio and throughout
Brazil.
Some activities have a required minimum
number of participants, depending on the geographical
region or activity promoted. All details on each trip
or activity can be found on the individual activity’s
description page.
How do I book a tour for my client?
We don’t work with online booking at this time.
If you are interested in booking an adventure for your
client, you can do so by email,
fax or telephone.
If you need help finding the right adventure for your
client please use our activity/expedition descriptions.
It is designed to provide all the information on each
Adventure/Activity sponsored by Aribira.
If you already know the adventure you want to book,
please send us an email
with the following information:
Adventure Name.
Date of adventure.
Number of clients.
Client’s information (full name, date of birth,
passport number, passport country of origin, medical
or dietary needs and emergency contact information)
Hotel information (if applicable or available).
Special requests.
A deposit fee is required for a booking. The client
will be responsible for the payment of the remainder
amount until the day before the adventure starts.
If interested in an adventure that is not included on
the monthly schedule, send us an email.
How do I "Hold an Option"
for my client?
There are two ways to hold an option: email or by phone.
Payment is not required and after holding an option
you will be provided with a Booking Reference Number
and instructions on how to confirm. Options must be
confirmed or your client's space will be released.
Adventure Sports & Activities
The client’s space will be held for a period of
72 hours for any option held outside 21 days of the
programmed adventure activity.
The client’s space will be held for a period of
48 hours for any option held outside 14 days of the
programmed adventure activity.
The client’s space will be held for a period of
24 hours for any option held outside 7 days of the programmed
adventure activity.
Expeditions
The client’s space will be held for a period of
72 hours for any option held outside 60 days of the
programmed expedition.
The client’s space will be held for a period of
48 hours for any option held outside 30 days of the
programmed adventure activity.
The client’s space will be held for a period of
24 hours for any option held outside 21 days of the
programmed adventure activity.
How do I confirm after "Holding an Option"
for my client?
You can confirm your client's space by phone or email.
Please be sure to have the following mandatory client
details at hand:
Client’s full name as it appears on their passport;
Passport number, expiration date and country of origin;
Full mailing address;
Date of Birth;
Occupation;
Client’s email;
Emergency contact name, phone number and email;
Details regarding dietary requirements.
Adventures
Options with 21 days notice can be confirmed with a
deposit payment of 50% of the total value. The remainder
can be paid up to 2 days prior to the adventure.
Options with 14 days notice can be confirmed with a
deposit payment of 75% of the total value. The remainder
can be paid up to 2 days prior to the adventure.
Options with 7 days or less of notice can only be confirmed
with full payment.
Expeditions
Options with 60 days notice can be confirmed with a
deposit payment of 50% of the total value. The remainder
can also be paid in two equal payments of 25% each,
however it must be paid in full 7 days before the expedition
start date.
Options with 40 days notice can be confirmed with a
deposit payment of 75% of the total value. The remainder
25% must be paid in full 7 days before the expedition
start date.
Options with 21 days or less of notice can only be confirmed
with full payment.
Can I book and confirm a space
for my client without holding an option?
Yes, you can book and confirm anytime. The procedure
is the same as “holding an option”.
Does Aribira guarantee the tours to run?
In most cases we guarantee our adventures and expeditions
will generally be run on the date scheduled.
Aribira retains the right to cancel the activities,
tours, and expeditions based on:
Weather conditions. Severe weather conditions are common
in Rio and Brazil, including excessive and substantial
rainfall, thunderstorms, mudslides and other conditions.
Aribira reserves the right to use sound judgment and
its local conditions expertise to determine whether
the tour can occur. A tour will not be run if we judge
that we cannot provide full safety to our clients.
Required minimum number. Activities with a required
minimum number of participants may be postponed by Aribira
in case that this minimum requirement has not been met.
Refund or credit will be issued in these instances.
Does my client need insurance?
Health or travel insurances are not required
(though extremely recommended) to participate in any
activity promoted or sponsored by Aribira or its partners.
Clients with no health insurance should
be aware that outdoor adventure activities involve risks,
hazards, and dangers that can not be eliminated or reduced.
We recommend that all participants obtain a health or
travel insurance in case of emergency.
