ARIBIRA

TEAM BUILDING

ADVENTURES LEADERSHIP
Aribira's School Experiential Program is focused on promoting character education through a range of experiential activities, physical education, and behavior management programs.

Our experiential programs involve a range of activities aimed at:

• Developing a set of characters, values and skills that shape their conducts, decisions, and choices.
• Engaging kids in activities that make them think critically about and become committed to ethical actions.
• Inspiring them to work as a team
The programs are based on the following questions:

• What is good character?
• What influences, causes or prevent good character?
• What is the relevance of teamwork?
• How to develop leadership skills?
• How to develop the skills needed on teamwork and leadership?
With these ideas in mind, Aribira's programs are student-centered approaches that can help students achieve success and take responsibilities over their actions.

AND, as with all programs designed by Aribira, safety and fun are the norm.

Phase I – The participants will join a program oriented to develop leadership and initiative skills. This part of the program aims to help participants to achieve their potential through experiential activities, such as low and high ropes courses, expeditions, climbing, outrigger, and others.

Phase II – The participants will engage in a volunteer program of their own choice. Choices might include: teaching kids in favelas, helping elders in geriatric shelters, voluntering with IBDD (an NGO for disable people), reforesting, helping archaeologists in the museums or excavations, assisting mountain federations or organizations (such as FEMERJ or AGUIPERJ), helping Aribira at the office, or any other choice they might come up with.
A final report will be required from each participant and from the organization where he/she volunteered.

Continuation – For participants that excel in their programs, they will be a chance to help Aribira’s guides in the future, co-guiding expeditions or co-leading Leadership Volunteer Programs.
