State Climbing Federation, FEMERJ
SELF-RESCUE
A must
for all climbers! Especially those who climb long routes
and/or in remote areas.
This course is designed to provide you
with the necessary tools to get yourself and your partner
out of many tough situations using only the basic climbing
gear you would normally have with you.
PRE-REQUISISTES
Previous experience is required.
An assessment of your past experience with Aribira is
required.
Aribira past students are welcomed on joining this course.

Mountains in Rio, with at least 3 different aid
crags.
Equipments Supplied:
All climbing gear.
Equipments Required:
Students must bring their
own Shoes (can be rented from Aribira) and Harness.
Classes:
held any day of the week, weather permitting.
COURSE CURRICULUM
Extensive safety instructions.
Fixed line ascension with a prussik knot
Escaping from the belay
Basic raising systems.
Creating Anchors
Rappeling with a Victim
Sound judgment and decision making
TRANSPORTATION
The
course fee includes transportation to and from your
hotel in Zona Sul of Rio to Urca.
A surcharge fee and special
arrangements need to be arranged for clients staying
in Santa Teresa or Barra da Tijuca.
